What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Yosan Gebre-Ab is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland who has been practicing since 2020. Whether someone is trying to grapple with a psychological diagnosis or a new life challenge, Yosan can work together with them, using different evidenced-based practices to approach these issues holistically. Their time together can be spent developing helpful coping skills, processing the emotions an individual is experiencing, and exploring how they can move forward and live a life consistent with their values. It is Yosan's goal to help clients navigate realistic societal factors, family systems, boundary setting, and practical ways to maintain mental and emotional wellbeing. Everyone experiences things in a different way and what matters to Yosan is understanding each client as an individual so that together, they can figure out is best for them. In her spare time, Yosan enjoys reading, trying different arts and crafts, getting out in nature, and of course, a good movie night.
