What does a first session with you look like?

I share practical tools to help others get through their day to day stressors. I may also assign homework in between sessions, such as applying and practicing mindfulness based techniques, or facing a fear or difficult task you may be avoiding or struggling with.

My approach to therapy is dependent upon your needs. I utilize a strengths based, solution focused method in sessions. Sessions often include a combination of various therapeutic modalities including Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Talk Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and/or Relational Therapy. These methods will help you process your thoughts, feelings, and perceptions of situations, while simultaneously teaching you ways to cope and manage your stress, anxiety, and/or depression.
