What does a first session with you look like?
I have a holistic approach when working with clients and spend the first four sessions getting to know you and gathering information on your history. I also assess for other issues such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, health related issues, trauma and other stressors that may be impacting your relationships and may refer out if needed.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use an attachment-based/psychodynamic lens and have an insight-oriented and in-depth approach in guiding treatment. My approach is less direct and tool-based focused when working with individuals and therefore may not be a good fit for some. For couples I use the Gottman method and sound relationship house theory.
