My goal is to assist you express your emotional struggles and guide you to develop personal coping strategies by problem solving, being solution focused, to have confidence, to create realistic expectations and motivate you to think about things differently, positively and feel better about yourself. You just need to trust that you can do it and be willing to make it happen!
I use communication, understanding and positive energy as the fundamental principals to help and support you to relate to whats happening in your life, to discover what needs to be done and how to get there. I assist you find solutions and work on how to make it happen. I role model, utilize interventions, inquiry and exercises and challenge others to practice exploration and expression of thoughts and feelings in session to develop a better sense of relating to others and improve relationships.
Durning the intake assessment, information provided by client is discussed to identify and develop the most appropriate and practical treatment goals, to address the greatest areas of concerns.
Depression often causes people to feel sad, empty, or hopeless, and can cause a lack of interest in life. It can also affect a person's thinking patterns and physical health.
Anxiety can mean nervousness, worry, or self-doubt. Anxiety disorder is a mental health disorder that entails excessive, repeated bouts of worry, anxiety, and/or fear.
Refers relationship issues with a partner or spouse. Can include issues related to relationship distress, relationship satisfaction, communication, intimacy, etc.
Impulse control issues
Reacting quickly without regard for consequences as a response to internal or external events. Impacts relationships and daily life and could be a symptom of personality disorders, bipolar disorders, substance use issues and more.
Behavioral disorders involve a pattern of disruptive behaviors that cause problems in school, at home, and in social situations. Can include hyperactivity, impulsivity, defiant behavior, chronic patterns of aggression, defiance, disruption, and/or hostility.
Grief is a reaction to an emotionally significant loss and often comes with symptoms of depression or anxiety. These symptoms can remain intense and last for a long time after a loss, making it difficult to move forward with a healthy lifestyle.
Self-esteem is the degree to which a person feels confident, valuable, and worthy of respect. Feeling low self-esteem can influence overall well-being and be linked to anxiety and/or depression.
ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) causes a hard time focusing attention and controlling restless or impulsive behavior. People with ADHD might have emotional outbursts, be forgetful, and/or find it difficult to stay organized.
Regular involvement with a substance or activity in a compulsive, hard to control way that often has harmful consequences. Often refers to substance use, but can include compulsive behaviors such as sex, gambling, or shopping.
It's normal to experience anger at times, but for some, it becomes so frequent, intense, or difficult to control that it negatively affects their life. Anger management is a structured therapeutic approach toward reducing one’s anger to a point where more appropriate coping and/or conflict management skills are used. Beliefs and thoughts leading toward anger outbursts are explored while healthy coping and interpersonal skills are put into practice.

Addictions, Alcohol/ Substance Abuse, Eating, Gambling, Porn, Low Self Esteem, Self-Harming Behavior, Sexual Abuse, Insomnia, Spirituality, Stress, Suicidal Ideation and Trauma ‘Post Traumatic Stress Disorder’. I assist people gain awareness by understanding the connections between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Providing this insight helps to assess and re-evaluate how you can change your direction by considering your patterns, options and choices. By encouraging you to explore those concerns which have become barriers, you can bring about the changes in life that you are wanting to make. Counseling theory approaches I use most frequently are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy which are tailored to your specific needs.
