What is your style/approach to therapy?

My approach to therapy is eclectic. Where I talk to you like a friend having a conversation, as well as offering opinions and options for the client to choose.

What does a first session with you look like?

The first session is also the time in which I gather pertinent information about your history in order to get a picture of different life circumstances that have contributed to shaping you into who you are today. You are also welcome to ask me any questions you might have about therapy, my experience in the field or how we will proceed together as a team.

In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?

Since my work primarily deals with clients who have depression, anxiety, addiction, and LGBTQIA* identity/orientation issues, I have dealt with all of those things personally in my life in one way or another.

Work History

I graduated in 2014 and immediately started working in the substance use area, in a small outpatient program. I worked with a few different substance abuse outpatient programs over the course of the 6 years. Including a detox program for 2 months. Within the programs I did therapy with clients of all socio-economic statuses, demographics, ages, sexualities.
