Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
As a 19 year-old cancer survivor, I developed a strong interest in helping others with life transitions. Friends and medical professionals who went the extra mile when they didn't have to, but wanted to, were the example I try to live my life after.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I believe that the clients are the experts of their own stories. I may be the professional who can teach skills, but only my clients understand what it's been like to walk in their shoes. So, instead of making assumptions, I use Socratic questions and strengths-based approach of curiosity rather than judgment.
