Get To Know Me
What excites you most about the evolving mental health landscape?
The technology in which clients and clinicians are able to communicate has expanded vastly over the last few years. Clinicians are now able to reach clients that they otherwise would not have been able to reach several years ago via the standard office visit. Many clients are now preferring virutal visits for various reasons and the trend for this platform will most likely continue to increase.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I am a Christian-oriented therapist that sees each client as an individual. Sessions are not cookie-cutter but tailored to fit the need of each specific situation. I always welcome feedback, good and bad, knowing I can only continue to grow as a clinician from these responses.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I have always been in a helping profession. I was a teacher for several years. As I was teaching, I went back to school to get my counseling degree. I have always had a passion for helping others. I felt counseling would allow me to specifically focus on helping others with their hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
