Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own survival of trauma and the determination to break cycles of generational pain. That experience ignited a passion for personal growth and the belief that healing and transformation are possible for everyone. Over time, I pursued advanced training in trauma treatment, hypnosis, coaching, and integrative wellness, building a career dedicated to helping others uncover their potential. Serving diverse communities—including individuals with IDD, veterans, and those navigating complex life transitions—reinforced my commitment to inclusive, compassionate care. Becoming a therapist was not just a career choice, but a calling to empower others to heal, grow, and refocus their lives toward their most meaningful goals.
What’s the most profound, insightful, or interesting thing you’ve learned as a mental health professional?
The most profound lesson I’ve learned as a mental health professional is that my clients are the true experts in their own lives. While I bring tools and strategies developed over years of training and practice, real transformation depends on their courage to tolerate the discomfort that comes with change. Safety often feels rooted in familiar patterns—even painful ones—because the unknown can seem uncertain. By meeting clients exactly where they are in their journey and understanding them in deeply meaningful ways, I can help them recognize that their protective beliefs served a purpose but are no longer necessary. Together, we create space for resilience, empowerment, and the certainty that they can live the life they truly desire.
