Work HistoryMy journey into the field of therapy began while I was studying to be a journalist at Northeastern University; I loved meeting people and getting to know them through hearing their story. I also loved integrating my interests in holistic wellbeing, practices of yoga & mindfulness, and creative arts into my work, which is how I ended up working alongside an art therapist in Barcelona, Spain for 6 months while I finished my degree. After college, I knew I wanted to become a therapist, so I worked at McLean psychiatric hospital as a community residence counselor to further develop my skills in counseling with mindfulness, yoga, and creative arts. The center was focused on supporting clients experiencing eating disorders and difficulties with body image. Before beginning my masters degree at Columbia University, I also integrated these interests into my work as a yoga studio manager and yoga teacher, where I learned how supportive a variety yoga practices are. For the past years, I have been practicing as a mental health counselor in private group practices in New York City. I'm focused on integrating somatic practices into therapy, infusing mindful movement and yoga to strengthen the mind-body connection and manage symptoms of chronic stress. My love for meeting people and hearing their story strongly shows up in how I connect with my clients, and my passion for holistic wellbeing remains at the core of my practice.
