In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?

I personally believe anyone is capable of change regardless of how anyone started in life. This overlaps with my treatment philosophy as I try to help clients not feel defined or restrained by mistakes, trauma, disorders, flaws, or family. Instead, I guide my clients to find their voice and redefine who they want to become despite their experiences.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

By providing a nonjudgmental environment, I utilize empathy, patience, and encouragement to empower clients through healing and self-discovery. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client, hoping to guide clients to a more in-depth connection to themselves and gain agency over their lives despite the challenges they face

Are there any recurring themes or issues you’ve noticed as you treat people in your area of specialization, and how has this insight guided your approach?

Many clients tend to blame themselves for not being/doing enough. Expectations from internal or external stressors tend to play out throughout their therapeutic journey, where they feel as though there is something inherently wrong with them. This insight helps guide my approach by helping clients practice self-compassion and patience while they relearn to allow themselves to be human and feel comfortable being themselves.
