Get To Know Me
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
The foundation of a thriving therapeutic relationship is authenticity, with the clinician having the ability to connect with a patient on a raw and human level. I look forward to meeting new clients and helping them unpack their history, as they are the protagonist in their own life story. I act as a subscriber and supporter, aiding them in navigating life's challenges throughout their journey.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I open each session with a person-centered approach that molds and develops as more time is spent with a patient. After establishing an understanding of a patient's goals for therapy, courses of treatment are discussed and applied with the flexibility of adjusting time frames and techniques utilized to meet each client's individual needs, matching their personality and outlook on life.
What impact did the scope and/or focus of your education have on your current work as a therapist?
With an extensive background in supporting people with developmental disabilities on a clinical level, I have had the opportunity to experience unique and beautiful moments with profound people who have impacted me both professionally and personally. It is a mission of mine to ensure all patients feel validated, supported, and above all accepted in a world filled with adversity and social disconnection. I am consistently conscious of this goal throughout my role as a therapist with each patient.

Work HistoryMy aim is to develop a safe and trusting relationship with each client, which is believed to be the foundation needed to bring about healing and change. As a therapist, I encourage clients to develop greater self-awareness and mental wellness through an exploration of their life experiences. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families, and am particularly interested in working with a culturally diverse population. I am well-versed in collectivist values and deal with stress from adjustment and transitions through various life stages, with an emphasis on parenthood. I also specialize in treating a wide range of issues including anxiety, anger, depression, grief, crisis due to major life changes, and trauma. Therapeutic modalities practiced include Mindfulness Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Solution-Focused, and Person-centered therapy.
