In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I believe I have a strong personality, great sense of humor, and an equality compassionate heart. My style is direct, solution focused, and client centered. This makes my clients feel that they are a priority in treatment and that their needs are being addressed.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
I strongly believe that you are not a therapist until you have been a client. Part of our training as therapists involves working through our own mental health, and you quickly learn that this can be a life long process. We are always learning, growing, and healing. Some of the best work that I have done with clients has been because of my own internal work and healing.
What impact did the scope and/or focus of your education have on your current work as a therapist?
I have an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and a graduate degree in Psychology. Once I began to work with trauma patients, I understood how beneficial understanding the chemistry and components of the human mind is. Understanding how the human body is interconnected and directly related to our emotional responses is key to therapeutic work.

My love for healing and psychotherapy stems from my own soul work and my never ending curiosity for understanding the human mind and human behavior. I believe that human connection is the best medicine and one’s relationship with our therapist establishes the groundwork for life-long healing. I strive to provide a safe & nurturing space where my clients can feel comfortable with their own vulnerability; enough that they are able to tap into their own dormant gifts and strengths. I hold space for my clients & in turn, teach them how to hold space for themselves with empathy, compassion, acceptance, and gratitude. My therapeutic style often involves identifying and challenging old ways of thinking that have led to periods of stagnation. My therapist journey involves a wide array of training and experience, but my heart exists in the areas of depression, anxiety, crisis, trauma, grief, PTSD and generational trauma.
