If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?

The book I would choose is Man's Search for Meaning by Dr. Viktor Frankl. He said that every person has a purpose in the moment, which changes from time to time. We can exercise the freedom to choose our attitude, no matter what our current situation is. We have the choice to be happier, healthier, and have a peace of mind.

How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?

I work collaboratively with the client to determine realistic goals to accomplish. I like to take the client where their at and go from there.

What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?

I think honest and open communication is the biggest key component of a therapeutic relationship, along with a nonjudgemental stance and having empathy for the client and their situation..
