Get To Know Me
What’s the most profound, insightful, or interesting thing you’ve learned as a mental health professional?
What I have learned is hear the pain our behaviors inflict on others is often a bigger hurdle to face than even our trauma. However, it is the path to true freedom and love. Once we have encountered our own shadow, the world doesn’t seem dark, and our compassion is magnetized.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I am more straight forward than many of my colleagues both in my personal and professional life. This can be a good fit for some people but I understand when it may be too results driven for others.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
When I was 12 years old I had a therapist who changed my life. I wanted to be like her when I grew up.
