What excites you most about the evolving mental health landscape?
I am excited about the walls between medical health and mental health coming down. Mental healthcare is becoming more common and acceptable as routine medical care. A focus is finally being placed on the whole person and how our thoughts/feelings can impact our overall health.
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
With building great rapport in the therapeutic relationship, key components are unbiased and nonjudgemental approaches.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
...That no 2 clinicians are the same.
