Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I do not tie myself to any one approach. Instead, I blend elements from different approaches and tailor the treatment according to each clients needs.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
The reason I became a therapist was because I have had trials and tribulations throughout life that has enabled me to be empathetic to others. I have learned that clients have had similar experiences to me, which has made it more comfortable for them to discuss everything that comes to their minds. I believe therapy can be a wonderful opportunity to talk, think, relate, and grow in countless ways. I actively listen to people and try to make each person feel special.
What does a first session with you look like?
The main focus of the first session is talking about what prompted you to seek counseling, how the current issue or problem is impacting your life, and your goals for therapy. I will conduct a full assessment about your current circumstances as well as your life history to create goals and objective for therapy that are best suited for the you. The second focus is getting to know each other, discussing expectations, and starting to build a therapeutic relationship.
