Work HistoryMy career as a Social Worker began 6 years ago, working in community and school based settings with pregnant and parenting teens. After spending some time delivering therapy in school and home based settings to children, teens and their families I transitioned to residential care working with issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma and substance abuse. During this time I developed skills to engage clients utilizing CBT, mindfulness and TF-CBT approaches. I have always been very passionate about helping others learn to be more present for themselves. This includes self care and managing anxious and depressive thoughts. After venturing into private practice I have been able to focus more on my passion for self care and addressing the barriers my clients have associated with being present for themselves and their families in a way that they want to. My experience as allowed me to be trained and experienced with psychosocial assessments, identifying triggers, developing coping strategies with clients and providing training and supervision to interns and master level clinicians.
