I work with my Clients to identify what goals and desires have been set in the past, what has yet to be achieved, and what has been attempted until present day to reach said goals. From there determination of potential best practice approaches coupled with my Clients' desires to reach said goals are established to begin a new path to goal attainment through therapy.

My Leadership and Team approach to business, combined my faith and family first approach to life and relationships helps to build a combined work/life balance and continually positive empathic approach with results orientation during my sessions with the Clients I serve..

Key elements of working with me in therapy would be to understand that the premise in life to effect change is that one can only control their own thoughts and actions to attempt to reshape one's emotional state. not the thoughts, actions or emotions of others. Secondly, adopting a continually positive approach to the further will align with my session design as we move toward the clients' overall goals attainment together.

Hello, I am Davin Magno, Licensed Professional Counselor and thank you very much for your interest in my Counseling Profile. I am a Licensed Mental Health Professional based in the State of Texas with over 20 combined years of experience, with the first 10 years of my initial career tenure spent working with Adults and Families experiencing severe and persistent Mental Illness either through direct service provision or leading teams to treat Clients serving in a variety of treatment organizations holding leadership roles. I also have subsequent 10 years’ experience servant leading Health Plans operations to develop and manage health services provider networks, ensure the best quality of care for patients, and lead provider teams to success. Thus, I incorporate both my direct care service delivery and organizational leadership experience into my counseling approach and address an array of issues with my Clients including: depression, anxiety, stress, family and relationship issues, coping with life changes, and career dynamics, in particular, stemming from excessive career stress or need for an improved work-life balance. I further work with Clients to address martial concerns and long-term life goals setting and attainment. In short, I work with many Clients to determine what the issues are they are facing, how have we addressed these issues thus far, and what steps can be taken to improve our approach to reach and ideally, attempt to supersede the goals each has set forth to attain through treatment and in life. My counseling theory and approach is highly empathetic, incorporates active listening while working from a cognitive choice theory and reality therapy perspective, and assisting my Clients with the framework to understand self-evaluation, review current wants and behaviors, and to build plans based on insight developed to take action to achieve overall goals. Overall, I have a strong predisposition and passion to help people help themselves. I am a husband, father and man of faith. I love life and helping others to reach their desired life picture and fullest potential.
