In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
My philosophy in life has to be with being equitable and treating everyone with respect. This is paramount in my engagement and development of therapeutic relationships. I’m always self aware of how my impact on others therapeutically.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
I believe that my experiences as a Black Male from the inner city had shaped my life in a multitude of ways. It has allowed me to see through lenses that most individuals have and these life experiences have made me look at how systemically individuals from various walks of life can be impacted by their environment. I have utilized my experiences, trainings and first hand accounts to develop a inclusive therapeutic space for all.
