Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is client-centered. My ultimate goal is for you to leave sessions feeling lighter and relieved. I hope to create a positive therapeutic relationship with you where you can feel comfortable. Sometimes the weight of our problems can be so heavy and we need someone to help carry our heavy bag. I hope to be that helper for you.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I have always wanted to be a therapist from a very young age. I wanted to be a person for others that made them feel heard, seen, and validated. I am a firm believer that even if trauma was experienced as a small child, it will resurface in our lives in one way or another. With this knowledge, I love helping people heal and process their experiences.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
It is important for me that we are both honest and transparent with each other. My goal is to help support you and honor your self-determination. It is important to me that you let me know if something we are doing is not working so I can better serve you.
