Work History

My love and passion for the behavioral field began when I was in college. I fell in love with psychology and the study of human development and behavior. Since then I have dedicated my professional career to serve our mental health community and continue to learn and grow my clinical skills and knowledge. In my years of professional background and experience which spans over the last 11 years I have worked with our community mental health behavioral center serving adults and children with special needs and mental illness. I have also worked in a residential long term behavioral hospital working with determining eligibility, served as a treatment team member to advocate for patient rights, and improving the quality of life for our residents. In 2017, I graduated from Texas A&M University in Kingsville with my graduate degree in Guidance and Counseling. More recently I have worked as a therapist at a shelter and have been able to grow and practice my clinical skills. As a therapist I have been able to assist clients with their anxiety, depression, past trauma, grief and loss, career exploration, relationship issues, and adjustment issues. I have not lost my love of being a student and continually explore and inform myself, including further professional training, of the most current and effective forms of treatment so that I may best serve my clients. My overall goal is to provide the therapeutic space and environment to voice their concerns and provide the tools for healthy coping and work towards their treatment outcomes and goals.
