Professional Background
LicensureCalifornia, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT46649
Work HistoryI am passionate about working with adolescents and adults struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationships, communication, grief, parenting, divorce, families and individuals in crisis. My approach to therapy is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore and identify the underlying beliefs driving your behaviors, shaping your habits, and impacting your relationships. I ask questions and give feedback. I am not a head-nodding type of therapist with long annoying blocks of silence. Instead, I put things out there for you to consider. If it resonates with you, we go with it. If it doesn’t, we don't. You will learn to better manage negative thoughts, emotions and behaviors, allowing you to meet your own personal goals. I utilize different therapeutic approaches to help you live your full potential, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness techniques, solution focus, and others. I have been a licensed marriage and family therapist for over 15 years with 35 years in the human service field. I work with teens, adults, and couples.
