Work HistoryJessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Licensed Professional School Counselor K-12. Over the past 7 years she has worked in community mental health and school settings on the east coast and Denver. Jessica is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Synergetic Play Therapy, Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Brainspotting, principles of Theraplay, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She specializes in working with children, as well as working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Jessica is also moving towards working more with OCD, as well as the caregiver/child dyad. She offers an unconditional positive regard and non- judgmental space for all. She is passionate about building an authentic connection with clients and helping them “be with” and embrace their full self in order to spark change. She believes that every individual is an expert on their own lived experience, that our behaviors make sense once we view them in context, and that we all have the capacity to shift undesired behaviors with the right support. My goal, first and foremost, is to know you as you would like to be known. I will guide you to get in touch with deep emotions and thoughts in a way that feels safe. We will collaborate to create solutions around problems within your control, and generate some radical acceptance around things outside your control. We will work both with your past and the “here and now” to integrate them and build forward momentum.
