I believe that my personality is adaptable, which makes engagement come naturally. I always work first on gaining trust and allowing you to share your story with me. This helps me tremendously in adapting to the type of treatment needed to move forward.
Often, taking the time to visit how one feels at the beginning, middle, and end can really define how someone is doing in treatment. Setting goals and evaluating where one is with those goes periodically can be a tremendous help in measuring how one is progressing.
I believe that everyone should have voice and choice in the development of therapeutic goals. I am open to suggesting goals, however the goal should come from the individual and what the individual would like to gain from therapy.
