What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I have always wanted to save the world and my father and grandfather explained I needed to start within my family and work my way through the community to the city, to the state, and so on. That seem exhausting as they explained it but as I matured and grew in my profession I was able to better understand the process. It starts with one. So, I truly believe it's not where you start but where you finish!
How does collaboration with other providers play into your work?
Collaboration is important as I am able to gain insight into different approaches as well as it creates opportunities to broaden my resources.
What does a first session with you look like?
I'm always elated when a person takes the time to invest into themselves, their mental health, as well as their self-care. Therefore, during the first session I gather additional information from the client as well as listen to their concerns. In addition, I want to know their desires from therapy.

My experience is in couples counseling, domestic violence intervention, restoring relationships within families, parenting, anger management, effective decision making, as well as career building.
