Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
Your first session with me is not the most enlightening to be honest. We will do an intake where I ask you a zillion questions. Once completed we will create a treatment plan together and get to know one another . This session will be anywhere from an hour to an hour and half .
What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
I believe the biggest barrier in regards to therapy is “oneself.” Tony Robins the motivational speaker said “Your biggest problem in life is that you think you shouldn’t have any.” I believe this barrier can be broken when a client accepts their past , stands solid in the present and is hopeful for the future .
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I bring my true authentic self to our sessions. I use my clinical skills and professional boundaries; however, I bring my full self and awareness to our sessions . This time is yours and I understand that on a deep level. I always feel honored that you are giving me the greatest gift; it’s the gift of time . There is nothing greater then that ! Therefore , I will honor it with my true self in these sessions.
