Get To Know Me
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I am easy going and great at building a therapeutic rapport with others. I remember how nervous I felt when attending therapy at a young age so I always keep that in mind when providing therapy to others. I want it to be a safe space where we can collaborate on the next step of your journey. I always present my authentic self during each session as I guide you with different approaches that fit your needs.
What does a first session with you look like?
The first session starts off by review all necessary documentation such as informed consent and providing information about myself and the therapeutic process. I want to build a therapeutic rapport with each person to build trust. Getting to know brief background about you will assist with the collaboration of goals as well as ensuring I will be the best person to assist you with your therapeutic journey.
How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?
When determining therapy goals, I encourage each person discuss what they want to work on while engaging in therapy. I also will give one or two suggestions if needed which we would process together to ensure it is something which is agreed upon. From that point on each session is geared towards the collaborative goals.
