What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?

Reliance on self... Participants often chose not to seek help because they prefer to resolve their own difficulties.

How does collaboration with other providers play into your work?

It is important for therapist to be well connected to and collaboratively engaged with providers to ensure the most effective and integrated treatment that occur does occur. Therapist best serve people when they share perspective and responsibility in meeting people's needs and ensuring therapeutic progress toward established treatment goals.

How has your particular field of specialization evolved in recent years and how has that impacted your work?

Mental Health continues to play a vital and prominent role in holistic health conversations. Holistic therapy addresses the whole person (spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally). Mental health issues no longer carry the negative stigma as years past. Multiple treatments options exist today, whether in-person, online, or tele-health.
