I am Dr. Lychene Saah, a Texas Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a master’s degree in Guidance & Counseling (Mental Health Counseling) and a doctorate degree in Christian Counseling. Additionally, I hold a second doctorate degree in Education C & I with emphasis in Multicultural Education from Texas A& M University in Texas, plus a second master’s degree in Medical Parasitology from University of London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK. I have lived and studied in three different continents! I love meeting and working with clients from various nations and backgrounds! I have worked as a research scientist, educator, and counselor. As a trained scientist and a mental health therapist, I am very analytical and detail-oriented in my counseling approach. I have expertise in helping clients deal with: depression, grief, parenting difficulties, marital problems, family conflicts, relationship challenges, post- traumatic stress disorder-PTSD, fear, self-worth/self-love, self-esteem, stress, etc. etc. Furthermore, as a certified and experienced Educational Counselor, I have helped hundreds of youths prepare for college, with many gaining entrances into top universities!! I use an eclectic style of counseling and customize my approach to each client’s specific needs. Some types of therapeutic methods I use are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person- Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Coaching, Motivational Interviewing, and Christian Counseling (if requested). I am willing and available to help you discover a more pleasant journey in life.
