Work HistoryMy background in higher education is diverse from admissions to graduation, but I especially enjoy helping at-risk students get back on track for graduation. I love working with Gen-Z and Millennial clients the most! No one hands you a manual on how to win at adulting, so my passion is working primarily with individuals between the ages of 18-35 who are struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and other identity-related crises. Because I have worked at different institutions of higher learning, my specialty is with college students and recent grads in particular as I have nearly a decade of experience working in higher ed. I enjoy serving children of immigrant parents; I know the struggle personally! My no-nonsense approach is dipped in compassion and humor. To care about my clients means to meet them where they are and hold them accountable for where they want to go! I am a tell-it-like-it-is, down-to-Earth, sincere, and goofy therapist that uses the powerful elixir of motivation, optimism, humor, and unconditional acceptance to help my clients navigate to healing, whatever that looks like for them. I use an integrative and collaborative approach that is mostly person-centered, existential and holistically focused, and uniquely tailored to my clients with a multicultural lens in place. In plain English, we work together, side by side with no power dynamic between us to uncover hope and write new chapters in your life using the power of mindfulness, reframing, and an array of tools you can use in and out of session.
