What excites you most about the evolving mental health landscape?
Teletherapy, although been around for the last ten years has not been as accessible as it is now. This new landscape will allow others to not have to wait 3 weeks to get an appointment but can have a quicker response than traditional in office visits. This allows the client to be in the comfort of their own environment which can be less daunting than an in person visit.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I am a partner on a journey towards your happiness. I take cues from the client, challenge thoughts of self and others and find a perspective that is prosperous for the client's well-being. I work from a place of compassion and empathy in helping other discover their own idea of happiness.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
Success in therapy is when one is capable of navigating their emotions for improved daily functioning, able to notice triggers and redirect into positive outcomes. Client recognize progress when they feel better and their stressors are not impacting their life negatively.
