If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?

I would like people to know that therapy does not suggest something is wrong with you, it means you want to work on yourself. Therapy does not have to be just when you are in crisis, but an opportunity to improve ourselves. Therapy can be exactly what you want it to be!!

How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?

I base treatment goals on what the client reports as struggles and wanting to making improvement. Goals are determined by where the client would ultimately like to be. This is a collaborative process and driven by clients goals.

What excites you most about the evolving mental health landscape?

I am very excited that there is a normalization of seeking help, there is more and more access to services, and increased awareness of the importance of prioritizing mental health.
