In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I believe that everything about me and my personality impacts my approach to therapy. I work everyday to show up as my authentic self, for myself and my work. I am soft spoken, patient and kind. I like to find the humor in things and believe being playful makes our inner child happy.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
Once you lean into what you are afraid of or what you are resisting, it becomes less scary and more freeing. Without therapy, your subconscious beliefs are impacting (even controlling) your decisions, relationships and more. With therapy, we will see the reoccurring themes in your life and we will work to release what is no longer serving you.
How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?
My incoming clients usually have a presenting problem that they would like to work on. As we dig deeper into what is really going on, the goal becomes more clear and more specific to the client. I believe goals change frequently and it all depends on the individual.

Although the stress threshold for each person differs, meaning that each person considers and experiences trauma differently, it is an event that tops one’s threshold. Work History
I am a licensed creative arts therapist and a registered dance/movement therapist. I use talk therapy, but I bring the body along on the conversation. I like to utilize different creative modalities when I see fit to help my clients dive deeper into their subconscious and better understand themselves. I am passionate about mental health and it is reflected in my work. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out! I've worked in community mental health for over 4 years, working with children, adolescents, families and providing parent consult. My work has revolved around trauma and how that shows up in our everyday lives, whether we are aware of it or not. I began my private practice as a part time passion project recognizing that the need for therapy goes beyond severe cases. Therapy is needed to improve the quality of our lives and empower us to be our authentic selves. I have joined Choosing Therapy to nourish my practice full time and in result, nourish more individuals. I truly feel that supporting individuals through this work is my life's work and I am honored to meet each client and see them for who they are.
