What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Being a therapist is all I’ve ever wanted to do. It brings together my two greatest passions: human nature and learning. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to help others with their emotional, mental, and social stress.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is eclectic; I don't adhere to any particular treatment method for a variety of reasons. Humans are complex and our healing paths should be just as varied, with respect to all identities and experiences. I enjoy personalizing treatment for each individual client first by providing options, and then we collaborate together to pick the approach that works best for them.
What excites you most about the evolving mental health landscape?
I love the ever-changing nature of mental health. It is exciting to know that there's always more for us to learn about each other and ourselves. By looking at the history of mental health treatment, and recognizing the progress that we've made, I feel hopeful that we will continue to grow and find new answers to our questions.
