I came from a community where mental health issues were severely stigmatized. My understanding of the power and significance of humans’ mental well-being guided me to receive clinical mental health education at Columbia University. Due to my interest in psychoanalysis and passion for serving LGBTQ+ individuals, I attended an intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy program and LGBTQ+-affirmative therapy training. Being one of the therapists in the group practice settings, I treated clients with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, career-related stress, immigration-related stress, identity confusion, life transition issues, procrastination, traumas, low self-esteem, interpersonal issues, etc. My clinical experience helps you connect with your unique strengths, find self-fulfillment, and reach your potential.

I am a relational therapist, and I believe good relationships bring healing. My work will start with building trust in a safe and nonjudgmental space. We will work issues out together within a warm and comfortable therapeutic alliance. My approach will help you to dig out rooted problems, learn adaptive coping skills, reconcile with your difficult emotions, gain insight into past and current experiences, and find closure to your psychological wounds. Mindfulness is integrated into my clinical practice to help you connect with your body, cope with your intrusive thoughts, improve your concentration, and enjoy the present moments. I work well with clients with reflective capacities. I facilitate explorative and reflective conversations to help you find your own solutions to your challenges.
