What is your style/approach to therapy?

You will find me warm, active, and non-judgmental. I provide the expertise, empathy, and a touch of humor to help support the change you looking to create. When clients first start therapy, I establish a comfortable environment where they feel safe and heard.

What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?

You are making progress in therapy when you notice that: 1. Your moods and emotions have improved. 2. You have less negative thoughts and more positive thoughts. As your thinking patterns changes, your behaviors will change as well. 3. You have better, healthier relationships with others. 4. You feel that you’re getting more out of life.

Work History

I started my practice in 2017 to help people overcome and recover from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and assist with developing a deeper race/ cultural identity. I am particularly passionate about serving Single people who are looking for healthy relationships and couples who are struggling in relationships. I am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Positive psychology, and Emotionally focused therapy (EFT). Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. Emotionally focused therapy can help couples and family members form a more secure emotional bond, which can result in stronger relationships and improved communication. As a therapist, my goal is to use my multicultural knowledge and experience to offer professional services based on respect and trust. The foundation of my clinical work is to remain non-judgmental and culturally sensitive.
