Work HistoryI began my career as a hospice social worker, and I've been in the hospice and palliative care field my entire career and my identity as an LGBTQ+ Chinese woman has informed my work. The conversations I've had with people have been around what is most important to them, but I've always questioned why it's only focused on when a person is diagnosed with a serious illness. I'm inspired to bring what I've learned in my work to private practice -- to help people live fully right here and now, and helping people cope and manage all of the various life transitions that happen to all of us. This could be as hard as losing a parent, or being diagnosed with serious illness yourself, but it can also be things like starting or ending a job, kids moving away, and shifting and changing relationships. I want to help you manage challenging feelings, thoughts and emotions and to thrive in times of change.
