Get To Know Me
Are there any recurring themes or issues you’ve noticed as you treat people in your area of specialization, and how has this insight guided your approach?
For the past ten years, I have worked in the healthcare industry. There is a great deal of caregiver and healthcare worker burnout. I will provide a space for those in these positions to grieve, express frustrations, and fears.
What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
Access to care. Lack of time, childcare, caregivers for aging parents, transportation, and/or physical limitations should not be a reason someone does not get mental health support! I love that telemedicine is here to stay !
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
Therapists are people too! We may cry, laugh, misspeak, and have bad days just like you. Everyone's approach is different. Most importantly, if you do not feel comfortable with your therapist, do not give up, try someone else. They might just not be right for you!
