Work HistoryBefore achieving her Psychology degree, Tara was a grief coach helping others transition through their grief and loss. Tara received her Masters in Clinical Counseling Psychology from the University of Hawaii, and proceeded to get her post-graduate hours and training; Tara is now a licensed mental health counselor in two states. She has worked at local community mental health non-profit programs, online therapy companies like TalkSpace, in-patient crisis care hospital settings, and private practice. When Tara is not working she enjoys spending time with family and playing with her kitties. Tara offers both in-person (individual and groups) and telehealth online therapy sessions. Tara’s group therapy is opening in February 2023 and will be held in a cozy space with a huge smart screen whiteboard (plays videos, displays notes, and provides a space for participants to answer/ask questions together); all groups are small, as she feels the best collaboration and growth occurs in a group size of approximately 14 participants.
