What is your style/approach to therapy?

Client-centered Trauma informed Inclusive provider I work with clients to develop individual goals and utilize a variety of treatment methods to achieve those goals. I am honest, laid back, and conversational.

What does a first session with you look like?

Laid back, respectful, getting to know you conversation. You are the most important part of the session.

What are some the unique issues faced by clients in your particular field of specialization, in terms of mental health education, care, and/or treatment?

As a gay man, I know all to well the level of trust that is required to be vulnerable and speak freely with a clinician. I would often hold back a few sessions to test the waters. With me, you don’t have to do that. You can speak freely and openly from the first moments we work together.

Work History

My career started as a community outreach worker in the inner city, working with teens to seek out their best future and reduce the impact of trauma on their lives. After a few years I started work toward my MSW and began to focus my clinical skills on helping children, adults, and families heal from traumatic loss especially working with murder victim’s families and survivors of sexual assault. More recently I have developed my clinical skills with a focus on depression, anxiety, PTSD, and adjustment disorders. I have training in multiple trauma-focused therapies and look forward to working with you to heal and reach your goals in a supportive way.
