Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is all about striking a balance between accepting you exactly as you are while also empowering you to grow and change. In practice, that means I'll offer a lot of validation and highlight your strengths and successes, and I’ll also challenge you when needed and teach practical skills to help you move toward your goals.
I draw from person-centered therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self-Compassion, and DBT-informed therapy to help you thrive.
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
Authenticity is a core part of the therapeutic relationship. When I show up as my genuine self, it creates space for you to do the same. That shared authenticity helps build mutual trust and a real sense of connection. Sometimes, it might mean we experience very human moments of awkwardness or discomfort together. I find that those authentic interactions tend to lead to new insights and greater confidence.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
During our first couple of sessions, we'll work together to set concrete goals. Throughout therapy, we'll refer back to these goals to measure your progress, and we'll update them as we go. To me, success means achieving the goals you created for yourself and being able to maintain your progress even after therapy ends.
