What is your style/approach to therapy?
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet something still feels stuck. Insight and talking things through matter, but change often comes from slowing down enough to notice how thoughts, emotions, body responses, and relationships interact.
I take an active, collaborative approach to therapy, offering structure and reflection while making sure the space remains yours. Together, we explore patterns that developed for good reasons and consider whether they’re still serving you now. The goal isn’t to fix you, but to create more choice and flexibility.
My work is integrative and strength-based, informed by attachment-focused, somatic and experiential therapies, mindfulness, parts work (IFS), CBT, and emotionally focused work with couples.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. You already have the capacity for self-love and change—it’s about unlearning the messages that told you otherwise. I work best with LGBTQIA+ adults, folks who tend to overextend themselves or put themselves last, offering a space that’s truly about you. Our sessions are active, compassionate, and collaborative. We focus on shifts you can feel—more self-trust, more clarity, more room to breathe—so you can live from a place of choice, not habit.
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
I believe effective therapy begins with a strong, trusting relationship grounded in curiosity and care. I’m attentive to the stories people tell about themselves—how those stories were shaped, what they protect, and whether they still fit. In therapy, I help clients integrate difficult or painful experiences in ways that feel more coherent and self-directed.
I work from a social justice–informed, anti-oppressive framework, with awareness of how identity, power, and social context shape our inner lives and relationships. As a white person, I understand this as ongoing, lifelong work and strive to meet clients with humility and openness.
I feel honored to do this work and to accompany people through the process of change.
