What is your style/approach to therapy?

I focus on shadow work. I help people realize the subconscious factors that keep them stuck through a creative combination of evidence-based treatment modalities and spiritual practices. I'm passionate about helping people feel empowered and aligned with their most authentic selves. My clients are highly sensitive people, creatives, nonconformists, seekers, healers, and thinkers who tend to feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or lost. These are often people who've done quite a bit of self healing and introspective work but still feel stuck. Diving into the subconscious, into shadow, tends to be the missing piece. I create loving and compassionate space for people and invite deeper exploration with curiosity and creativity. I strive to create trust and connection with my clients. It's important to me that people feel connected, safe and supported in session. Inner child healing/treating childhood trauma is an important component of my work. I'm also skilled at addressing generational trauma and possible burdens carried from other timelines. My work is medicine for the soul. My therapeutic approach is a unique blend of mind, body and soul healing strategies. I draw from my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and mindfulness teacher training. I also apply my creative skills as an artist and a writer as well as personal healing achieved through spiritual/shamanic practices.

Work History

I'm a licensed mental health counselor with 20 years of experience in the field. I've worked in educational and clinical settings and have been in private practice for several years. In addition to counseling, I have experience in facilitating mediation and nonviolent communication, as well as teaching parenting skills. My focus is on deep, soul healing work. If you've done a lot of self healing and introspective work but still struggle with ongoing, frustrating and mystifying patterns, it will help to dive deeper to expand awareness and consciousness. You are your own healer. I serve as a witness and a guide in the process. In addition to over 20 years of professional experience, I have nearly 5 decades of life and personal healing work to offer. I teach important skills and create powerful, nonjudgmental space for you to heal and grow. I take a holistic approach and address many factors that affect your wellness, which results in sustained self confidence and spiritual growth.
