In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I’m a lifelong learner and enjoy sharing what I know with others. Additionally, I believe there’s more than one way to do anything, for this reason I’m always looking for solutions to many of life’s challenges. I’m 99.9% optimistic and .01% indifferent.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
As a Black woman, raised in a blended household within a marginalized community I’ve had my share of childhood trauma and adversity as an adult. I began my healing journey almost 5 years ago when I experienced one of the biggest heartbreaks (romantic relationship) and teacher burnout. I sought a counselor who I felt comfortable with, someone who held me accountable and provided me with actionable support. My clients can expect the same from me.
