Education
Florida State University, Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, 2013 — Please note that my legal name is currently “Aimee Leigh Beardslee” if you would like to verify my license on any state's licensure verification website.
Work HistoryI am incredibly passionate about providing neuroqueer (neurodivergent + queer) affirming therapy and Autism/ADHD assessments! I'm proudly neuroqueer- I am an "AuDHD" (autistic+ADHDer), nonbinary, queer therapist who has lived experience as well as 10+ years of experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples who are autistic, ADHDers, or both (AuDHDers), as well as couples/relationships with mixed neurotypes.
In addition to specializing in gender, sexuality, and relationship issues for the LGBTQ+ community, I have had several years of experience working with commonly co-occurring mental and physical health challenges for autistics and ADHDers, such as anxiety, depression, prolonged/intense grief, autistic burnout, meltdowns/shutdowns, and chronic illness.
