Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Collaboration is at the heart of my work. In trauma therapy, it’s essential for helping clients move from a place of compliance to one of self-advocacy and trust in their own voice. But I’ve found that collaboration matters just as much in all forms of therapy. When we work together as curious, patient, and compassionate equals, we create the conditions for real, lasting change. My goal is for therapy to feel like something we build together, not something done to you.
How does collaboration with other providers play into your work?
Collaboration with other providers is a meaningful part of my work. Many clients come to me specifically for targeted EMDR therapy while continuing their ongoing work with their individual therapist. When I provide adjunctive EMDR, I maintain open communication with the primary therapist (with the client’s consent) to ensure that our work aligns and supports their broader goals. This collaborative model allows clients to benefit from EMDR’s focused healing without interrupting the therapeutic relationships they’ve already built. My goal is to make this process seamless and supportive, so clients feel fully held by their treatment team and confident that everyone is working together in their best interest.
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
Joy and laughter play a big role in both my life and my work. While therapy often involves exploring pain, I believe healing also grows from moments of lightness, humor, and connection. I try to bring those qualities into sessions not to avoid the hard things, but to remind us that even in struggle, there’s still space for warmth and play. My treatment philosophy mirrors my life philosophy: both are about learning to enjoy the balancing act. We can hold grief and gratitude, sorrow and laughter, healing and imperfection all at once. Therapy with me isn’t about striving to be “fixed,” but about rediscovering your capacity for curiosity, joy, and self-compassion, even in difficult times.

Work HistoryMy work has always centered around collaborating with people to help them feel confident enough in themselves to explore what’s beneath the surface. I began my career in community mental health, where I had the privilege of working with children, teens, and families facing a wide range of challenges. That invaluable experience taught me the importance of meeting people exactly where they are from a place of curiosity, compassion and humanity.
Community work shaped the way I practice today: flexible, humanistic and deeply attuned to each person’s unique story. Over time, I was drawn toward trauma-focused therapy and helping clients understand how the past continues to live in the body and influence the present.
Now, as a licensed social worker trained in EMDR, I help teens and adults navigate trauma, anxiety, and self-criticism with warmth and collaboration. If you’re ready to begin the work of understanding yourself with more compassion, I’d be honored to support you in that process.
