Under Clinical Supervision

Alexandra Hathorn, Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor, 1725789 is practicing under the supervision of Kalonya Jones (Pennsylvania, LPC, PC012606) at Lotus Counseling and Consulting.

Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.

How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?

Lotus Counseling and Consulting offers a free 30-minute consultation where you and I will talk about your goals, if you have some in mind already, or, if you don’t have any in mind, we can create a few goals before we start therapy!

What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

I started my career in education as a college access mentor in Philadelphia! This year of service included helping families with the college process and young adults apply to and begin college. I helped parents understand the financial side and young adults understand their career decisions! During this year, I used my bachelor’s degree in Economics to help low-income families learn new tools and resources to help them succeed. While enjoying helping people achieve career success, I also realized the deeper reason not everyone was reaching their full potential. There are so many emotional, mental and social challenges to overcome! That is when I decided to go back to school to help people find tools and resources that help them achieve mental health success and emotional well-being!
