Education
The Wright Institute, Doctorate of Psychology, Clinical Psychology, 2015 — During my doctoral training at The Wright Institute, I focused on psychodynamic theory, attachment, and relational approaches to psychotherapy. My dissertation explored the process of therapeutic change and how clients make meaning of their experiences in therapy. I also engaged in research on psychotherapy integration, contributing to a peer-reviewed publication. Beyond academics, I received extensive clinical training in community mental health, hospitals, and schools, which gave me a strong foundation for working with diverse individuals, couples, and families. This blend of rigorous academic study, clinical practice, and research informs my current work, where I integrate psychodynamic and attachment-based perspectives to support deep, lasting growth.
Princeton University, Bachelor of Arts, English Literature, 2005 — At Princeton University, I studied English Literature, focusing on themes of hybridity and identity in modern and postcolonial literature. My senior thesis explored how narrative and language shape human experience, which deepened my interest in the ways stories influence self-understanding. This training strengthened my ability to listen closely, think critically, and appreciate the complexity of people’s lives and identities—skills that continue to inform my work as a psychologist.
Work HistoryOver the past 15 years, I’ve worked with children, families, couples, and adults in a wide range of settings—including community clinics, schools, and hospitals. Early in my career, I focused on supporting families and young children, which gave me a deep appreciation for the importance of attachment and early relationships. During my time at UCSF’s Infant–Parent Mental Health program, I gained specialized training in how early experiences shape development and continue to influence us as adults. Later, working in community mental health and private practice, I began to focus more on adults and couples who were struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, and family conflict. These experiences solidified my interest in psychodynamic and attachment-informed approaches, where we look beneath the surface to understand how past patterns show up in the present. Today, in private practice, I bring together these years of training and experience to help clients feel understood, explore what’s been holding them back, and create meaningful change. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, my goal is to provide a warm and collaborative space where insight leads to growth, healing, and stronger connections.
