Education
Touro University Worldwide, Master of Arts, Marriage and Family Therapy with an Emphasis on Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling, 2025 — The Marriage and Family Therapy program provides academic and professional clinical training to individuals to become competent, ethical, culturally sensitive, and systems-oriented marriage and family therapists to effectively assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse population of individuals, couples, and families. This program provides its students with an increased understanding of relationships between marital and family dysfunction, serious mental and emotional disorders, including chemical dependency, substance abuse, eating disorders, and disorders of childhood and adolescence.
California State University, Sacramento, Bachelor of Arts, Sociology, 2012 — The program provides students with the ability to observe human behavior, analyze data, and collaborate with others on desired social change. The program also includes the study of crime and deviance, diversity and inequality, socialization, interaction, globalization, and social change which is designed to identify and explore the sociological perspective and develop critical thinking skills.
Work HistoryI am dedicated to creating a safe, accepting, and supportive environment in therapy. I am experienced in working with individuals, children and adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am also experienced in working with clients who communicate, learn, process information, and think differently than their "typical" peers, which is known as neurodivergence. Neurodivergence may include attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder or ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, sensory processing issues, etc. I support clients with processing their sexuality, gender identity, attachments, relationship issues, trauma, open and consensual non-monogamous relationships, trust and self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and managing stress. My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered using different techniques such as mindfulness, somatic therapy, family systems, solution-focused, behavioral therapy, and talk therapy to help clients understand their lived experiences, past and current.
