In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My personal experiences have deeply influenced the way I show up as a therapist. As a highly sensitive person, I understand what it’s like to feel emotions intensely and struggle with self-doubt. This has given me an unique understanding of what my clients are going through.
Losing a parent was a defining moment in my life—one that reshaped my understanding of grief. I know firsthand that grief isn’t just about missing someone; it’s about navigating the way loss changes you, your identity, and your sense of stability. This experience allows me to better empathize and support my clients who have experienced loss in their lives.
I’ve also faced my own struggles with anxiety and depression. I know what it’s like to feel stuck in your thoughts, and to carry around an emotional weight that’s hard to explain to others. I want to help clients explore the roots of their struggles, understand themselves more fully, and build self-trust.
